Founded in 1965 by the Ursuline Sisters, Kyeni Girls High School began as a humble dream to empower the girl child in Embu and beyond.

What started with a small cohort of determined young women has blossomed into one of Kenya's most prestigious national schools. Our journey over the last five decades has been defined by unwavering faith, academic rigor, and a commitment to nurturing holistic leadership.

1965: The Foundation

The Ursuline Sisters establish Kyeni Girls with a vision of spiritual and academic growth for young women in the Eastern region.

1990: National Recognition

The school achieves National School status, consistently ranking among the top performers in the KCSE examinations.
